Getting Started & Architectural Project Awards
Richard’s passion for architectural photography was gained through his architectural education (Master of Architecture, University of Oregon) and professional career in the United States and Australia. He has provided professional architectural photography services since 2002.
His photography has been highly commended by Australian Institute of Architects award jurists for its beauty and ability to thoughtfully render space and place. Commenting on a photography submission, award jurist Peter Skinner offered:
“beautifully composed architectural photographs capture the dramatic prows of the street front elevation; they show the lively stepping, curving, and changing elevations that bring lightness to large building volumes…the attention to materials, pattern and texture in the hard and soft landscapes.”
Richard’s work has contributed to regional and State RAIA Award winning projects in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
